Day 73 - Wednesday 25th July

I have just been reading some of my Blogs, what a journey this has turned out to be. When I started thinking about doing this project I was on holiday in the South of France

I wanted to bring attention to the Fairtrade cause and show the connection between Environmental issues and Fairtrade. I hope by the time I complete this project I would have achieved this. I remember last Christmas when I visited Saltburg in Austria to see some Fairtrade businesses in operation how popular the products were. It seemed lots of people knew about Fairtrade, and I thought that we need do this in the UK and USA. Make Fairtrade a natural choice. Make Fairtrade the First Choice, while helping people in developing countries.

This summer I spent three weeks seeing for myself how the United States of America going about promoting Fairtrade. It was fantastic to see it developing, but there are lots more to do. 

So keep reading my Blogs as I progress with my project over the next few weeks, and encourage more people to choose Fairtrade.

Day 72 - Tuesday 24th July

It is actually sunny today, and everyone I have met today seems happy, because they think summer may have finally arrived. Alas, it is not to be, because over the last 6 weeks it has rained, and it will start again tomorrow for another week. My Caffe-Society fairtrader store is busy however, as all there is to do for the holiday makers is go shopping or visit indoor attractions. I have entered more new companies on the home page today.

Day 71 - Monday 23rd July

Not long now before the end of the project, and its getting very busy now. I am trying to process requests from potential sponsors while talking to new ones. I can spend the daytime talking to UK and Europe while at night I can start talking to the USA, up to midnight in some cases. I am determined to complete the task, so wish me luck

The Weekend

Having to cover for staff on Holiday at my Fairtrader Store here on the Isle of Wight, while on Sunday will have a well earned break to watch the Golf Open, and F1 race .I am then cooking dinner for the family, a nice old English roast - you can’t beat it.
